About

Robin is IT Security Consultant at Capgemini in Frankfurt, Germany. He is providing knowledge transfer and consultancies in various large companies, especially in the area of cloud infrastructure security. Until 2019, Robin was professor for IT-Security and Programming at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences with a research focus on IT- and network security topics. He holds a PhD from the Universidad de Cádiz in Spain.

In the past, he focused his research on communication network optimization and monitoring, published several scientific papers in this area and gave talks on international conferences. He also conducts lectures at different universities, e.g., the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and the Provadis School of International Management & Technology and supervised numerous theses.

Robin was involved as scientific staff or technical lead in numerous third-party funded research projects with industry cooperations, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung), Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie) and the Hessen State Ministry for Higher Education, Research and the Arts (Hessisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst).

Robin holds a B.Sc. degree in computer science and a M.Sc. degree from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
During his studies, he worked at IBM Research and Development in Böblingen in the processor firmware development department and the IBM Next-Generation-Network Competence Center in Frankfurt am Main as working student.
After achieving his master of science, he worked at Oracle Deutschland as technical sales consultant in Düsseldorf, Germany.
